Following the passing of UNC System President Emeritus William C. Friday, Dr. Bill Roper reflected on his contributions. "Bill Friday was a giant in American higher education and in North Carolina public life. The state of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina are much the better because of his sustained leadership in so many areas. He was a friend of UNC Medicine and UNC Health Care. We extend our deepest condolences to the Friday family."
